Very little fret wear, as you can see the armrest has some of the gold plating worn off, as does the tailpiece.

In the banjo pictured above ( which looks like my 229T except it has 5 strings) The tone ring is outlined as the round raised portion within the larger circle of the rim, which is also aluminum. Tailpiece plating is bubbling, a little corrosion on pot.

I bought an RB800 from Curtis McPeake & was more than happy with it however I am a big Stanleytone fan so wanted an archtop(unfortunately am unlikely to ever be able to afford one) so the Iida seemed like a good bet for the moneyI was so impressed with the Iida I stopped playing the RB800 so sold it.

He decided to give it to me for a starter banjo when I wanted to learn how to play. At first I thought all Iida's were mastertone clones, but did discover by looking through old catalogs I found on line that they had a model that was called a masterclone.
